This webdirectory is run by me, Roz. I liked the idea of a webdirectory, so I decided to create one myself. Part of the network is our Toplist. I originally wanted to create a bunch of network sites that had to do with helping webmasters promote their sites, but my schoolwork has kept me busy.
Below are the different categories you can list your sites in and a short
description of what they are.
Awards: sites that have nominations to sites in different categories, and then people vote and the site that gets most votes receive an award.
Blends: pretty self-explanatory; blend sites that offer blending challenges.
Boards: this category applies to forums where users can sign up and post on them.
Cliques: these are sites that list people based on common interest.
Collectives: sites that show a "collection" of the different sites they have.
Domains: websites that end in .com, .net, .org, .nu, etc.
Exchanges: button exchange sites.
Fanlistings: fanlistings approved by tfl.org. If doesn't have to be approved by them, however.
Fansites: sites dedicated to usually a celebrity that gives out recent information/photos/media/etc. on this person.
Graphics/Design: for those whose websites offer design services, or if it is simply a design site or graphics site. Free layout sites qualify in this category.
Hatelistings: hatelistings for a particular something/someone. Could be approved by thl.org; if not, it's okay too.
Listings: sites that list other websites. This includes directories (like this site).
Miscellaneous: if none of these categories fit your website, then this is where you'd list your site.
Network: sites that have a whole network, like a network that hosts maybe only fanlistings or etc.
Personal Sites: sites that have blogs and information on the webmaster/mistress.
Portals: for cams or other miscellaneous portals. As long as it's a portal, it's okay.
Portfolios: sites showing works of a particular person.
Resource: this category applies to sites that give out resources, like where to find HTML help, tutorials, PSD sites, etc.
Reviews: a site that reviews other sites.
Webrings: self-explanatory.
